I may have missed this and it is actually in place but there should be costs regarding maintenance to training facilities (similar to the stadiums) with an option to downgrade/forced downgrade when the costs aren’t affordable..
I’ve come and gone from the game a few times because I really enjoy playing but hit a brick wall each time because it’s very difficult to get further when teams have been playing for years. Every time, I always see the same teams in the top leagues and when looking at their histories, they don’t seem to drop away.
I think by adding a further cost by having to spend on maintenance for facilities, it creates more expense to the top teams and potentially bring player values down, making it more realistic for new players to progress.
I’m lucky that last time I left I had good money pot and better (not the best) facilities which gives me a bit of an advantage at the lower leagues at the minute. There are others I can see have returned with the top facilities and can instantly buy good players when they return, outclassing any new managers. Obviously my suggestion would mean I wouldn’t have the facilities I do have but it seems unfair on new managers when they see returning managers like me stop them progressing so easily.
