Seeing so many people considerably overpaying for players who aren't even of an age to progress much further nowadays, is this because they have more money than sense of is there such a lack of decent players on the transfer market nowadays they feel as if they have to? Is anyone else finding this too or just me

I imagine it'll be the lack of better players around. Less managers directly correlates to less quality players. Supply and demand unfortunately.

Just Check central defender, I’m struggling to replace the old guy I had as a 1nd defender for a while now

You don’t have a choice but to overpay… or lose income /ranking

I’m convinced this is why reasonable youths are selling at 6m+ just now, lack of players is driving prices up as the talent pool is lower

I imagine this is a huge part of the problem. The % of managers still playing who are already at WCTF is probably quite high which makes it difficult for starters or managers at step 3 and below to progress as they have to spend very high on players rather than improve facilities just so they can at least stay at the level they are at.

Because of this I imaging that’s why there are less managers than when I last played.

I’ve actually recently returned and feel I’m hitting the same brick wall, finding it difficult to flip bigger numbers as those with more money can afford to over pay.

I also find there are very little players that my facilities could actually improve the value of or hold onto the value as I’m having to pay a lot to stay at the same level in the leagues because those players are at WCTF clubs.

Managers hit a brick wall and likely leave as i have a couple of times.

It might just sound like someone who is complaining that I can’t go up the leagues but I mentioned in the ideas section that maybe training facilities should have repairing costs like stadiums so that WCTF have to consider an additional expense to retain that level of facilities.

in terms of a financial divide this game is seriously dominated by players who have 100+M's in the bank and a WCTF, it really is a struggle for new teams to progress on this game, something really should be implemented imo

to be honest I find it quite easy to level up, I've posted press releases at each milestone if you want to check it out... It's just that you have to grind and focus on the target, you can't compete and upgrade at the same time... either take the short and fast route or the long and hard smiley
can't have your cake and eat it too...
I find it harder to compete to the top, especially after restarting the game after 3 years...
had to sell my team for half price and now I can barely get 11 players and have something to train that isn't complete crap so I can maintain in top 2 divisions...
when I left I had the youth coming of age ready to play and a full team... but got frustrated of waiting for the individual orders to be develloped. After 3 years I see it's stil not there but I also got frustrated with the other manager I switched to in the meantime...
so now I'm exploring if I'll return here or play yet another manager I got wind of which seems better than the two but also harder and somewhat pay to win ( they implemented NFTs) so you could eventually make money but I'm not sure yet how much the investment vs the reward would be...

i'll check it out for sure, i mean i say its a struggle but have managed to make 5M in flipping players over the past 3 seasons but i've been looking at that transfer market every hour of the day grinding, it is definitely possible to make money on this game but when i eventually get my balance to 25M which should be in the next month or two (and i upgrade to ETF light blue) with little or no credits to my name its basically gonna be like starting to game from scratch for me unless i get lucky with a youth talent or can insanely progress players to flip for profit.

I completely agree. Something needs to be done to keep people playing, even if it’s just ways to show their team is progressing (not just the bank getting bigger). Being in Division 4 sounds good when there used to be 7/8/9 divisions but now you see teams sit at that level for weeks. Teams who go up end up coming straight back down.

I would suggest either
- Shrink the amount of groups by increasing division sizes and increase promotions and relegation places
or
- Have a single group in each division country with a bigger list of division/teirs. It would maybe mean having 12 divisions or more in each country. Maybe also have 3 promotion places but it would at least show new teams can rise up.

The first suggestion would probably be difficult with the season only lasting 1 week at a time so it would be difficult to fit in every match so the second option is probably the more realistic.

By using the second option, they could also create more cups and remove the New Comers cup. Say for divisions 1-4, 4-8 and 8-12 each have individual cups.
