Team performing bad

Hi there...just want some help tu understand something.
For the last 2 seasons my team is performing very bad. Tried to change something ...tactics...different play style and it seems I lose lots and lots of games against teams which are much worse than mine.
Can someone help me understand why is that happening?

what tactics do you use out of curiosity ? I had the same problem and it was because i was using shoot on sight - this is a tactic meant to be played when you are much the weaker team

I play mostly balanced...tried long ball and short passes...and shot on sight also...but..for me best worked balanced.

I lost against a team with 10 players only. And all the players wäre under 75 rating...mine all above 80😅🤦‍♂️

Game tempo settings may be low for you. And I also wonder how many of these losses are on the road because the home teams usually get a pretty decent advantage. That advantage can be offset, but it takes a significant amount of preserverence to overcome the home field advantage.

I just draw again now...against a Team with 61 rating
.mine 83 and mine played home 😅...and I have tempo increased when someone scores ...and also offensive ...just never happened to me for so long to be in such bad shape...some games...yes..but for 2 season against really bad teams...don't get it...but yes..it is a gemacht but if will go like this for long is not fun anymore...

I mean those results are pretty questionable in fairness… I’d just keep everything default with reduced tempo and see if it helps, don’t over complicate things

I've won a few trophies with shoot on sight. I've also seen a few posts recommending it as a default. I don't think the tactics in VMAN are particularly well developed. I've tried quite a few but always ended reverting to some basics.

I had a 72 rated team with shoot on sight as was getting battered 4-0 at home by teams that were 59/60 rated it made no sense to me and i was told on here that its only supposed to be used when you are the much weaker team

Personally I've found Shoot on Sight has worked best for me too. I used to change a few things from time to time, but I've settled on 3 basics: Shoot on Sight, Reduced Tempo and Defensive mentality. Its worked very well and consistently.

Some people try and study all sorts of things, watching matches, analysing tactics, asking past opponents about their tactics...I think the game is just pretty random and vague on the tactical and match engine front, so I don't spend any time on it at all to be honest.
