I know this was flagged up as a suggestion years ago, but I would like to resurrect it. I propose teams should be allowed an extra friendly a day (so max 14/week), either by allowing the senior team to play the youth team, or just enabling an extra slot for clubs to arrange a second friendly with teams responding positively.
Why? This is to fix a situation in the roll out of morale decline, effecting training quality and hence a player's value and optimum level of performance. Outside of the first 11 in the senior squads we now have a further 11 slots making up the 22 player limit, and to do this whilst only enabling these fringe players to play once a day condemns their career to one of under-achieving. At least permitting 2 friendlies / day would mitigate this somewhat.
Thank you.
