I apologise if this has been discussed before. What do people think about introducing playoffs to this game? So not only the top two go up automatically but the teams in 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th compete in a playoff for promotion. Would bring an extra buzz to the game and those who are miles off the automatics come Thursday and Friday would keep you more interested. Just a thought 🤔

Think its a good idea personally, as you say keeps extra interest smiley

My only question is when do you suggest the games are played?

All league matches to be completed by 9am on a Sunday.

Playoff semi-final 1st leg (11am KO)

Playoff semi-final 2nd leg (12pm KO)

Playoff Final (1pm KO)

This would then allow time for the Sunday updates to commence.

I played this game the year of release which was 20 plus years ago now and the league structure has never changed. I think it's in need of a revamp to keep those who lose interest halfway through the week interested. Plus it makes it more realistic and better.

I like the idea.

I would say the only drawback is that you then have to add an extra spot for promotion, and therefore must add an extra 2 spots for relegation?

4 teams already get relegated so nothing would need to change there.

So only 1 go up automatically and 1 through the play offs?

No 2 automatically then one through the playoffs. Could always increase the leagues to 20 teams if that would make it work better.

Another thing I don't understand is players get called up to the national teams but there is no national fixtures or tournaments on the game.. that's always baffled me.
