Hi, so I just rejoined after a number of years and ive been hunting through the forums for updated training programmes etc with not much luck apart from a 2016 danish one which isnt working.

Todays average was 84xp with 10 talents who i think after 3/4 rubbish sessions will now all loose it.

Intensity wise im sure i always used to use Hard and then focus on specific stats each day.
Ive been investing in staff and today finally managed to get
Youth / outfield
20 18
19 19
20 16
18 17 keeper coach

is staff the issue? intensity? im just lost right now. And the struggle to find any decent information is deflating my want to play the game again.

Any help would be much appreciated, thanks. Also not sure if i can share the link to training in here or not .

First, your trainers are all crap. Sorry to say but you will need to put a bit more time and effort into your search. 20/20 are not impossible to find, but training youths you will absolutely need them. As for your current staff, DO NOT FIRE THEM because it will cost you 5 additional days of wages to fire each of them. Simply let their contracts expire and consider everything you’ve already paid them wasted. 20/19 are ok, but you will really need to find 20/20. And also probably invest in a scout with 20 in potential assessment so you can see what level of talent you are buying before you do. A scout will help prevent you from overpaying because each potential has a different value and it’s not always immediately obvious to see based on training alone.

As for the reason they all trained low, could have something to with the trainers, but their overall lack of talent probably has more to do with it. They are barely there talents and several of them are highly imbalanced with stats. This means you will take on penalties in training when targeting those stats. This probably has much more impact on the reason your training sessions are not good.

As for a training plan, I would suggest doing training match only until about 18-19 to establish a good base of stats before targeting stats with a training program (https://www.virtualmanager.com/forums/topics/1144997-traeningsprogram). I’ve added this one which may be the same you already found, but it’s still a valid program.

Hopefully this information is helpful, I’m sure I can get sudoku or someone to copy and paste it the exact verbiage for the training penalties as I don’t always remember off the top of my head. General rule of thumb is if a stat is more than 10% more than the average of all stats, it will begin taking penalties. So for your wonderkid forward who has 30+ dribbling and finishing, every time those stats are trained, he’s taking a training penalty.

Thank you, im checking every X hours to search for 20/20 but that obviously takes quite a few days now, unlike the old system. So I've just taken the best ones over the last 6 days I've been back on.

As for not firing them financially I left myself with 85m so im not majorly worried just yet about expenditure, will eventually aim for the 100m balance objective then make the final training ground upgrades.

Stat penalties I had no idea about, so that's highly likely what it is, i was trying to use the 2016 training programme in the Danish forums, which is the one you've linked, but i guess ill do the training match method for a few days see how that works out, thank you.

I used to play for 17 year old wonderkids, used to buy them for 100-350k and then flip them before 18 for 700k-1m, tried looking through forums for what's required for wonderkid status, couldn't work out if its a balance of attributes/rating or just rating, seen a few Wonderkids at 24+ rating.

All my trainers are 20/20 or 20/19 and I have a trainer for each of Keepers, Defenders, Midfielders and Strikers.

I changed my training schedule about a year ago and it definitely made a difference.
This is my schedule (hope it helps).

Keepers
Mon & Tue: Set Pieces (Acceleration 5, One on One 6, Aerial, 6, Diving 6)
Wed & Thu: Handling (Speed 6, Passing 2, Handling 9, Aerial 6)
Fri & Sat: Crossing (Acceleration 7, Leadership 2, Handling 7, Diving 7)
Sun: Technique (Passing 2, Handling 5, One On One 10, Aerial 6)

Defenders
Mon, Tue & Wed: Defensive Training (Speed 9, Leadership 2, Perseverance 2, Tackling 10)
Thu & Fri: Pig In The Middle (Acceleration 10, Passing 9, Stamina 2, Dribbling 2)
Sat: Technique (Passing 6, Finishing 2, Dribbling 6, Tackling 7,
Set Pieces 2)
Sun: Training Match

Midfielders
Mon & Tue: Technique (Passing 9, Finishing 2, Dribbling 8, Tackling 2, Set Pieces 2)
Wed & Thur: Interval Training (Speed 10, Acceleration 3, Stamina 10)
Fri & Sat: Pig In The Middle (Acceleration 4, Passing 9, Stamina 2, Dribbling 8)
Sun: Training match

Strikers
Mon & Tue: Offensive Training (Speed 7, Perseverance 2, Finishing 7, Dribbling 7)
Wed & Thu: Pig In The Middle (Acceleration 7, Passing 5, Stamina 4, Dribbling 7)
Fri: Technique (Passing 4, Finishing 9, Dribbling 4, Tackling 4,
Set Pieces 2)
Sat: Interval Training (Speed 9, Acceleration 9, Stamina 5)
Sun: Training Match

I use hard intensity for all training.

For wonderkids, it’s supposed to be the top x% but that still usually figures to about the same numbers as a rule of thumb. Once they hit these numbers they don’t always get it immediately, but generally they will at some point in that rating.

17 is 24, 18 is 31, 19 is 38, 20 is 45, 21 is 51~52 and 22 is 56~57.

As they get up to the 21+ range it gets a little shifty because it is based on the top x% of an age group and the way they are trained does factor in a little bit over a bit of time. But these are generally the ratings for each age group.

Thank you, I didn't even realise my player got his wonder kid status finally 🤣 I've always done better with wonder kids over talents. Last quistion, what times the value update Sunday? Remember it used to be evening

Starts about 5 hours before reset. The Sunday overall update starts about 2 hours before that.

I too am training youths and having semi success with mostly using hard trainings.

I also try to find 20/20 20/19 it really does make a difference.

Just let your bad trainers contracts expire perhaps put the worst youths with them to utilise for a few days.

Always search for trainers when you have a few extra quid spare took me something like 70 attempts to hit a 20/20 trainer. (They are out there)

No, consider 20/19 the absolute bare minimum. 20/20 obviously preferable, but 20/19 will suffice if you cannot find 20/20
