Moving Leagues

Hello,

Last time I moved leagues I went from Div 2 to Div 5 so have been terrified to risk it again.

Is anyone in Div 2 up moving leagues?

I cant say if its the same now but years ago when you went from say Spain to England, you would drop down as the english league used to be harder and if you were say a div 1 team in spain you were more likely 3/4 in english leagues.

You really only jump into the highest opening possible based on vifa rank when moving. If you dropped to d5 from d2, then likely there was no spots for you to move into or there was 1 spot and someone higher ranked than you took it. If nobody else is moving from that country, you will generally overtake the position of one of the highest remaining bot teams in the league.

Also, just because you coordinate with someone who is leaving a country, doesn’t mean someone else can’t take the opening because of being higher ranked. If a top league team decides to move to that country at the same time as you and only the one position is available, they will take that spot instead of you. This is the general risk associated with moving countries, but it still becomes easier to coordinate if you are in a higher vifa ranking.

If it was down to me i’d ban it. There’s hardly any English teams in the upper divisions of the English league. Mainly Danish giants.

What would you ban? Moving leagues? How would that even make sense for the game? Also, who cares who the giants are, after enough time on the game you can compete with anyone.
