Relegation prize money

Why do senior squads get no prize money for being relegated?

Youth teams do

There are still stadiums to repair etc

Feels unjust if you’ve been competitive but fallen just short to earn nothing

The reason for this is that originally the Yourh teams played in Divisions of 16 teams - as do the Seniors - with prize money for those finishing 1>12, but not those that got relegated (12>16) as with the Seniors.
The youth Leagues were subsequently restructured and the Divisions cut to 12 teams.
Fortunately, the prize money wasn't (thought of /) changed, so the top 12 otf the Youth Divisions are of course now everyone
So, this was never a change against the Senior teams, but perhaps a happy oversight in favour of the Youth teams.
