2011 draws to a close - what will 2012 bring?

Rasmus Rønn Nielsen, The Dudes 30 December 2011, 14:48

For Virtual Manager, 2011 was mainly about maintenance and to a lesser extend new development.

I'd wish we had added more new stuff to the game. But looking forward, the maintenance work was simply just necessary.

Among other things, the maintenance involved the following.

  • Optimization of layout and navigation
  • Streamlining the crew's tools (management of reported spam, anti cheat system, etc.)
  • Server stability
  • Page speed

Thanks to our efforts in these areas we expect to be able to spend more time working on new exciting stuff in 2012.

From experience, we know we shouldn't promise anything specific for the coming year. However, based on the feedback received after releasing the stadium editor, we're quite sure we're going to work on making Virtual Manager more visually interesting. Graphics just are more interesting than text - and this could end up being the focal point of our efforts in 2012. Of course, we'll also keep an eye on the feedback you give through our proposals page when determining what to focus on.

No matter what, I want you to know, that we'll do our best to give you the most enjoyable football and gaming experience in Virtual Manager.

On behalf of the entire team, I'd like to wish you a happy new year! See you in 2012! :D
