New sponsorship system on Monday, August 1st

The new sponsorship system is just about ready, and the plan is for us to release it on Monday morning, August 1st.

The plan looks like this:

Monday:

• We deploy the system
• Existing sponsorship agreements are converted to the new system
• We correct any major, obvious errors that may occur
• Base amounts are paid out manually for the converted agreements
• We will post a blog post about the new system
• We will continue to monitor and correct any bugs that pop up
• Once we're sure that there are no major bugs left, we will start the generation of sponsorship offers

The rest of the week:

• We will continue to monitor and correct any bugs that pop up
• We will monitor and evaluate the generation of new sponsorship offers
• We will perform a dry run of the season update on a backup of our production database after people have had time to enter into new agreements
• We will implement any small improvements and tweaks

Sunday:

• We will be ready to monitor that the payment of bonuses for league placement takes place correctly during the season update
