Season update without pause is (almost) here!

You might not have noticed it, but actually we put up a new version of Virtual Manager this morning.

This new improved version allows us to perform the weekly season update without closing down the site. This is a change people have been requesting for quite a while, and now it is finally here.

To make sure everybody knows what I am talking about, I should perhaps explain what the season update [i]is[/i]. Each sunday around 5pm, we run a script called the season update. This script make sure everybody gets their sponsorship Credits, gets moved to the right leagues, and so on. Normally, the Virtual Manager website is closed down during the runtime of this script. However, with this new version this is no longer necessary.

To make sure everything is perfect, we have chosen to close down the site one finale time this Sunday. We will use the downtime to make sure everything works as expected. If everything is well, future season updates will happen without closing down the site.

In other words: [b]The site WILL be temporarily closed[/b] (as usual).

Besides the season update, we have also included a couple of other small improvements.

Your club is now highlighted on the league. This makes it easier to find yourself on the list.
Tactics: You can now rename your tactics.
