Leicester Fosse

Sweden Awaits! [Season Preview]

Written 12 August 2018, 18:24

We can officially announce that as of next season, Leicester Fosse will be playing their football in Sweden for the foreseeable future.

After back to back 9th place finished in Division 4 in England, we decided that we simply don't have the finances to make the necessary improvements to gain promotion in England whilst sticking to our current recruitment model with players between the ages of 24-28. Therefore we have been planning on moving to a country that will hopefully be a little easier and allow us to gain promotion to division 3 without completely overhauling the squad.

We have chosen Sweden, and are eager to set up camp in Rotterdam and enjoy the seasons to come. This also makes sense financially as we have never played in Sweden before thus we have been gifted 65k just for playing in Sweden Division 4, and we'll get an extra 120k if we get promoted to Division 3. We are also eager to get into the top 1500 ranked clubs in the world as this will give us a nice 200k prize too. So you might see us moving around the world a little more often to make the most of the achievement system. Call us the Leicester Globetrotters! smiley

We would like to wish our former scout Clement Vejborg all the best for the future as he departs the club at the end of the season, and one of our trainers Peter Wollesesn will be leaving the club on the 17th August too. Leaving us with a more financially efficient staff set up of just 3 trainers. A trainer for our forwards, midfielders and defenders. Whilst out keeper trains on his own.

And now for this seasons prediction. We are fully expecting a real promotion challenge. Anything less than a top 2 finish will be a major disappointment.

Thanks for reading, and UP THE FOSSE!
