How does this make sense?

How does he not make the national U17 team??? He's literally rated 3 points over the best forward on the national team! And his total stats are 30+ over the best forward as well!

Maybe this is a stupid rant, but I get a bit of a warm and fuzzy from creating national team youths. Makes me feel successful training when I have a higher number of them. Currently have 4 on the U21 teams.

He will be 18 before the week ends. That is why he is not eligible for the U17 national team.

That's never been a thing before, I've had guys get it with less than a day left before the next birthday.

Link or name of other player to compare? I'm not sure what 3 points is? Do you mean rating? And as far as I remember, stats have nothing to do with players making the national team...it is all about stat placement.

This is the one specifically that I'm referring to, but the other forwards on the U17 team don't even come close to this guy really either. And by the 3 points, I am referring to overall rating.

Berg has 27 in finishing so better stat placement than uppstrom.

So what about the rest of them? Berg is the only one who has a comparable stat. The rest are barely even worth mentioning..

Its hardly a big deal to be a national player, its not like they're called up or anything. Would be good if it gave them somekind of boost for being a national player but its pretty useless.

I'd like to see "Elections" for a National Manager for each international team - and then World Cup competitions for each age group between nations.
All as a bit of fun of course.
The only financial benefit should be "appearance money" for the "owners" of each player selected by the system to be eligible for the games played.
(Not for the actual players used in the first 11 team as that could lead to allegations of "favouritism".)
I'd go so far as to say that the amount of money a club manager should receive should be set at at a level that encourages him to let his players play - at the small risk they may come back from international duty injured.
Club managers should then have the option to refuse leave for their player to go - and obviously receive nothing.
A N Other player would then be selected by the system to take his place (and perhaps the original player may be "overlooked" for the next few matches )

But, as VM HQ are busy with other stuff, things like this can only ever be a dream unless more people join (return ) and pay to play the game.
