This is encouraging as this shows there is some consistency on the match engine. I think your tacking is vulnerable to his so despite the differences, the ball 'circulation' would give him an advantage and you forwards would miss some chances due to offsides.
This is a Football manager after all, tactics should be rewarded.

Wide defensive positions are rather useless except for defending against opponents players played wide. And a lot of balls played in midfield seem to be recovered by the team with more player density in the midfield.
Also you can never defend with one DM (and no CD) against 2 MO, this is the 'exploit' I use the most against better opponents.

I've managed results above the expectation by tweaking my tactics, 3rd, 4t place with a squad in the 7-11 range

His MOs have over 90 Finishing, what do you expect? You should have played 2 DM positions if he plays 'shoot on sight'.

Ended up revamping my tactics, not that playing reduced defensive should matter against a team rated mostly in their 50s against a team rated mostly in the 80s...
