I'm running at a loss of 13,328,000 over the last 15 seasons.
It's pretty hard to counterbalance 150mill in training ground upgrades...

Not to be silly or anything... but isn't the amount of credits you have over the 1000 or so you start with your all time operating profit? The Town wrote:Operating costs are expenses that relate to business operations. Salaries stadium repairs buying players. An operating profit is the company's revenue less expenses. So you buy player x at 2k sell at 4k that is a 2 k profit. However when you buy him it is a 2 k loss.
Happy to discuss further but cf you are running at loss.

That would be dealt with in depreciation in the operating profit calculation which Town has made a mess of. You find out how much the upgrade was, then divide over the length of time it is usable. In this game it is until you stop playing, so you judge it on that. So say you are going to play for 100 seasons, a £100m upgrade costs £1m a season in depreciation (simplified). This is one of many reasons that Towns calculations are messed up.Club Coyote wrote:I'm running at a loss of 13,328,000 over the last 15 seasons.

Show us your calculation. The Town wrote:Yes and no. Someone mentioned a 150 million stadium upgrade. To get 150 million you have to run at 150 million profit. Yet when you spend it there is a big loss.
Everything you have made after the 1000 is profit but not an operating profit.
Yes it is. Your operating profit for a year and not your business plan / forecastDonkeys XI wrote:"An operating profit is the company's revenue less expenses"The Town wrote:Operating costs are expenses that relate to business operations. That is where you are making the mistake. It is not as simple as income - outgoings
