2013 is just around the corner!

New Year's Eve is almost here. In keeping with tradition (see 2011, 2010, I'd like to take a look back and a look forward.

We kicked of 2012 by redesigning the assistant manager. Shortly hereafter, we released names for all inactive clubs. Then, we did an experiment with a HTML5 based mobile version of Virtual Manager. Unfortunately, this ended in a technical dead end. Furthermore, we completed a major unification of the game's layout that we initiated in 2009. But the most time consuming project of 2012 is beyond compare the new match simulator along with the new match viewer and tactics editor. We've come a long way, but this project still needs a lot of work.

And this leads us to 2013. The only thing we can guarantee will be released during 2013 is the new match simulator. Also, the new player ability redesign (we've blogged about this) is almost certain to be added.

After this, we'll once again have to make a hard decision on what to focus on next. There's enough ideas to pick from. I really hope we get time to make something cool for mobile devices.
